Clinique, the famous American manufacturer of skincare, cosmetics, toiletries and fragrances, introduces a new product to its Even Better range. The Even Better collection, which is dedicated to improving skin clarity and reducing dark spots and blemishes, welcomes the Clinical Dark Spot Corrector & Optimizer, a color-correcting skin care product powered by green tea extracts.

“When skin is stressed, it overproduces melanin. This will surface as a dark spot. Our Optimizer was developed to help quell that irritation and help prevent new dark spots from forming.” - Clinique

Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector & Optimizer is a multi-tasking brightening serum housed in a dual-chamber bottle that combines Clinique’s Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector with a brand new Optimizer formula that targets irritation and helps protect skin from future hyperpigmentation. While most of the whitening skincare products tend to be too drying for the skin, Clinique’s new serum features a rare botanical extract derived from Dianella ensifolia, which is known to help reduce and prevent the occurrence of irregular pigmentation of the skin. The formula is both beautifying and soothing, as it prevents irritation while preventing any future skin discoloration.

The innovative delivery system preserves purity and beneficial properties of active ingredients. The new Even Better Dark Spot Corrector & Optimizer serum comes in a split bottle, and is dispensed by a pump with 2 nozzles. The white side features the Dark Spot Corrector Serum, while the clearer side is the Optimizer serum. You’re supposed to blend the formulas in your palm, and then apply to the skin.

In addition to Dianella ensifolia extract, the formula also includes exfoliating glucosamine, a powerful derivative of vitamin C, and illuminating yeast extracts. A blend of soothing ingredients, including Gyokuro Extract, is rich in antioxidants and anti-irritants. The extract is obtained from young tea buds harvested after two weeks without sunlight, so it yields enhanced concentrations of caffeine and theanine, two powerful skin brighteners. The serum claims to even out the skin tone and reduce the appearance in no more than 4 weeks. In addition, the optimizer is supposed to help calm the skin and prevent future discoloration.

Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector & Optimizer is hitting the shelves in September 2016. At the moment, the product is available for purchase at Clinique.com, and it retails at $79.50 USD. Have you tried it? We'd love to hear your impressions.
