Clinique has unveiled its key new skincare innovation – the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush, which is designed to work with its 3-Step skincare routine.-

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is announced as a “skin-changer,” a gentle cleansing brush that exfoliates the skin and prepares it for the 3-step treatment, which consists of a Liquid Facial Soap, Clarifying lotion and Clinique’s famous Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. The brush will prepare the skin for a soap, which takes off oils, lipids and sebaceous secretions from the skin. The Clarifying lotion removes inorganic materials such as salts and proteins, while the Moisturizing Lotion hydrates and nourishes the skin.

The Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is created in collaboration with dermatologists from the Orentreich Medical Group, and the most important Swiss toothbrush manufacturer. The brush is designed to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, making it more receptive for what comes after. Cleansing and exfoliation can speed up the natural process of epidermal turnover, which typically takes about 28 days. As people grow older, this process may become slower, which results in a build-up and a greyness on the surface of the skin. Though cleansing not only removes dead skin cells, but it also clears the skin from various debris, makeup and pollutants, and that is why it is highly recommended for customers from urban and industrial areas, whose skin is more exposed to pollutants. Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush features an oval-shaped, angled brush head fitted with rounded bristles. The green bristles are stronger, shorter and denser, and these are specifically designed for cleansing the T-zone. The white bristles are softer and more loosely arranged, which makes them suitable for more sensitive cheek area. Each brush is made of around 35,000 fibers with domed tips, and it works at a rate of about 10,000 sonic movements per 60 seconds. The brush has an integrated timer that turns it off automatically after 30 seconds. Thanks to the added silver, the brush fibers are anti-microbial, which means that they will stay clean and safe to use no matter what. However, the brush head should be replaced every 3 months. Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is equipped with a rechargeable battery, and a single charge lets it run on around three-hour power reserve. There is a led indicator that turns orange to inform the wearer when the battery is low. Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is launching at Asia Pacific travel retail locations from July 2014, before it rolls out to Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas in September.
