Clinique is launching its new daily moisturizer – Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 Daily moisturizer.

Clinique’s Superdefense Daily is a new moisturizing skin care product that claims to deliver all-day hydration, along with a fair level of sun protection and a powerful blend of anti-oxidants. The original version of Superdefense was introduced a couple of years ago, back in 2008. The newly unveiled variant, which will be available from January 2014, features an updated formula, suitable for daily routine, which is now fortified with SPF 20.

If used every morning, the Clinique’s Superdefense boosts the skin’s ability to protect against environmental impacts, thus slowing the rate of its aging and preventing any future damage. According to the brand, moisturization plays a critical role in this process. Well-hydrated skin appears stronger and its moisture barrier is fortified in such a way that it easily, and more effectively, defends itself against external aggressors, thus preventing the penetration of harmful compounds.

Another important step in anti-aging routine is the sun protection. According to the studies, about 80% of skin aging is related to sun exposure. The hazardous UV radiation compromises the skin’s natural defenses. Clinique’s new Superdefense moisturizer ensures that your skin will get both UVA and UVB protection. The formula contains sun-activated photosomes, which use the energy from union radiation to repair existing ultra violet damage to the skin, thus preventing visible lines, wrinkles, and signs of ageing. The ingredient-list also includes vitamins C and E, sea whip extract, caffeine, and fortifying barley and wheatgerm extracts. Clinique Superdefense Daily Defense Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 packed in a robust green-colored 50ml jar with silvered lid. The product is available in two skin-typed formulas – for very dry to dry combination skin, and for Comination Oily to Oily skin. Each of the variants retails at $47, and it is currently available for purchase at Bloomingdales.
