Continuing my reports from this year’s TFWA trade show in Cannes, I’m bringing you the news about Collistar’s new Anti-Age Talasso-Scrub, which is the latest addition to its Special Perfect Body line.

At this year’s TFWA exhibition, Collistar presented its new body scrub, the new Mascara Shock, a line of „chubby sticks“ for lips and eyes, and its currently selling Nude Look collection. The brand has also announced a special Io amo l'Italia Collection, which is based on authentic Italian scents and flavors, as well as the exclusive limited edition makeup range, which is developed in collaboration with one famous fashion designer. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you anything more about these collections, as the brand wants to keep it a secret for a little while more.

The Anti-Age Talasso-Scrub is the brand’s most recent launch, and the product they were the most proud off. I have to say that I already tried this one and I think that it is absolutely wonderful. I will be doing a full review on this product once when I get back home, but I can only say t\hat if you want to experience relaxing spa treatment at home, to comfort your body as well as your mind, than you should definitely try this product. It features a gorgeous salty-citrusy aroma that lingers on for hours, gently exfoliates the skin, boosts micro-circulation, and keeps the skin amazingly moisturized.  

When you open the lid, Talasso greets you with its fragrant Mediterranean aroma, which is a blend of citrus fruits or rather their pure essences – the orange blossom extract, Sicilian citrus fruits and the essential lemon, orange, mandarin and lime oils. The oils are mixed together with salt crystals so you really have to stir it up with the spatula to make a nice, homogeneous mass.  As you may already know, this product is based on the principles of the talssotherapy, which involves a systematic use of seawater and sea products for medical reasons. In thalassotherapy, trace elements of magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium, and iodide are absorbed through the skin, while the citrus fruit therapy helps to slow down the aging, to stimulate the cell renewal and recreate smooth, elastic and luminous skin.

This is the third edition of Collistar’s famous Talasso Scrub. The world’s leading brand in body scrubs launched its first Talasso ten years ago. It later extended the range with Anti-Water Talasso-Scrub, with draining and slimming properties, and now it launches the anti-aging body scrub. What makes this one exclusive is the generous use of citrus fruits, which are naturally rich in alpha hydroxy acids, flavonoids and vitamin C. These compounds are powerful enough to fight against free radicals, to whiten the skin and even the skin texture. The formula is boosted with the so-called l22-compex, named after its composition of fatty acids, which is the same as that of the healthy skin of a 22-year-old. If you’re curious to know, this complex blends macadamia oil with the ‘waxy’ chains of jojoba oil, soya phytosterols, olive oil squalene and vitamin E.

You can use them all-year round, and they are suitable for all skin types. Use it once or twice a week as exfoliator, or even after each shower, instead of a classic moisturizer. It is also excellent as a pre-holiday exfoliator, as it helps to make your tan extremely even. For the same reason, you can use it before applying a self-tanning product, or before a sunbed.
