Published: 2016-02-19 by Marina Milojević in Makeup

Beauty trends, just as fashion trends, start on the runway, where makeup artists who work on the backstage, create new beauty looks for the biggest names in fashion. The Spring/Summer 2016 looks from the Paris, Milan, London and New York Fashion Week runways are clearly forecasting the hair and makeup trends for the upcoming season. While no one is really sure if certain trends, like contouring and highlighting, will survive, there is a strong consensus on what will be the biggest trend in 2016 – a fresh, radiant, flawless complexion.

Dewy, healthy-looking skin is very much in vogue this year. While past makeup trends have favored heavy foundation, concealing, and contouring (think Kim Kardashian!), this year’s major trend revolves around perfectly fresh, moisturized, smooth, and bright complexion. Natural skin and its healthy glow are the biggest beauty trend of 2016! This means investing in high-quality skincare products, beauty oils, and moisturizers, and teaming them up with different concealer shades to minimize any skin imperfections. Since makeup artist swear by color conceals, here are some tips on how to properly apply them: Understanding Color Correcting Concealers.

The formula is enriched with light-diffusing pearlescent pigments, antioxidant-rich Vitamin C, and nourishing Vitamin E. Available at Sephora for $28.00 per shade.

Yves-Saint-Laurent-Touche-Eclat-Neutralizer

Finally, the high-end brand Yves Saint Laurent presents its Touche Éclat Neutralizers, a special colored version of its highlighter that targets and counterbalances color imperfections.
