Collection of EiR products

Seeking a way to better care for her extreme sports injuries, Jun Lee - an art curator by trade and an advocate of healthy living and the planet’s well-being - consulted with top industry professionals on the therapeutic benefits of essential oils and organic herbs when creating EiR products.

Jun Lee, owner and creator of EiR

EiR explains: "All of the vital components in Eir’s compounds are wholesomely handcrafted inside the cruelty-free confines of its Brooklyn, N.Y. headquarters. Purchases are then delightfully packaged and shipped out with the utmost of love. Eir is devoted to providing you with an internally and externally enriching experience in each and every purchase."

EiR COOLING BUTTER: BEAUTYALMANAC TESTED

I had the opportunity to meet brand creator Jun Lee this past winter and she thoughtfully gave me a sample of the Cooling Butter, a refreshing peppermint whipped balm that can be used as a natural alternative to pain management. EiR Cooling Butter contains the potent Arnica, helping to heal aches, bruises, muscle inflammation, swelling and burns.

Ingredients: *shea butter, *coconut oil, arnica extract, beeswax, peppermint, lavender and tea tree essential oils.

Use/Results: I've used my little sample of Cooling Butter three times now (a little goes a long way): after a bad sunburn (I unevenly applied sunscreen), on dry hands during winter, and on chapped toes after too much time in the pool and wearing sandals.

Each time I've used it I've greatly enjoyed the whipped texture (not too greasy!), the lavender/peppermint aroma (so much better than a mentholated muscle rub) and the fact that it actually works. It reduced the sting of my sunburn, soothed cracked cuticles and softened those darn chapped toes. I'm a convert. The fact that Jun makes it all herself, doesn't test on animals, and that I actually know what all of the ingredients are just makes the product that much better! It's kind of an all-purpose body butter with a simple but time-tested formula.

Where Can I Buy It? EiRNYC.com, $24 USD for a 2oz tin.
