Building on the success of their last year’s collection Tangerine Tango Color of the Year, the famous beauty brand and chain of cosmetics stores is again launching a line with the world’s most respected authority on color. This year, Sephora launches the Emerald collection, to honor this year’s Color of the Year.

Emerald, or PANTONE 17-5641, is declared the Color of the Year for 2013. This lovely shade of green is described as a lively, radiant, lush shade “A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony." Every year, Pantone consults designers and various brands about the colors they’re featuring for the next 12 months. The results of the voting are published in Pantone View, while the color of the year becomes a guideline for trendy designs and seasonal products.
