ESSIO Aromatherapy for the Shower

A brand called ESSIO caught my attention recently, when an email from its CEO and co-founder, Peter Friis, popped up in my inbox. ESSIO is a company focused on bringing the spa experience to your shower. This Santa Monica-based brand creates natural and completely sustainable products for the bath and shower, designed to keep your body and mind focused and energized throughout the day.

Peter was kind enough to introduce me to ESSIO’s patented new aromatherapy system, which is designed for use in virtually any shower. The world’s first aromatherapy shower diffuser uses only 100% USDA-certified organic essential oils. It includes the shower device and disposable essential oil pods that slowly release blends of pure essential oils into the shower water for a relaxing, aromatic effect.

There are six oil blends to choose from, each carefully tailored to enhance your psychological and physical well-being, and stimulate a desired response. For example, a Night blend features soothing oils of lavender, while eucalyptus-based Breathe blend relieves congestion, increases the oxygen supply, stimulates the mind, and relieves mental exhaustion.  Each pod lasts approximately 4 to 5 showers on average.

Pot blends, each designed to promote a specific mood or benefit, come in refill packs of four and eight, and they are priced at $19.99 and $29.99, respectively.
