Extend your hair color with the CVS Brush on Root Concealer

Did you know that your hair grows at a rate of a half-inch per month? This literally means that when you die your hair, you’ll get to enjoy that freshly colored hairstyle for no more than 3 to 4 weeks, before those obnoxious roots start to become visible. Salon experts also recommend to let your roots grow at least one inch before re-coloring… but, is there anything you can do to extend your hair color without damaging your hair? CVS thinks it has a solution…

CVS is launching the Brush on Root Concealer from Salon on 5th Ave/NYC. The product is announced as a perfect touch-up option to cover root growth. What makes it different from many similar products on the market is that the Brush and Root Concealer features a special brush applicator, which dispenses just the right amount of the color needed for ideal coverage. As Sam Lubliner, president of Stance/Beauty Labs LLC, and the producer of the line, said in his interview for WWD: “They (similar products) don’t effectively cover roots or they are aerosols, which are difficult to control. Some items are wands or markers that just don’t give the right coverage.”

CVS Brush on Root Concealer for gray coverage and dark roots is available in four shades, which are tailored to bridge the gap between most hair colors: dark blonde, dark brown, black and medium-brown. The product is launching in August 2015, and it will be retailing for $12.99.
