Gucci Unveils Its First Makeup Collection

As announced earlier this year, Gucci is stepping into color cosmetics this fall. The famous haute couture & beauty brand is launching its first makeup collection in October 2014. The Italian fashion house has finally revealed its new beauty creations and proclaimed that its Gucci Cosmetics will be available from October, exclusively at Gucci boutiques across the United Arab Emirates and Harvey Nichols, Mall of the Emirates.

The new luxurious range of high-end cosmetics is designed by Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini. As she explains: “For me, beauty and fashion are always connected. One doesn’t exist without the other. Makeup is a key element of the Gucci runway show — it helps communicate the essence of the Gucci woman. Eyes, skin, lips — they’re like accessories, all working together to create an unmistakable look.” In other words, Gucci’s makeup products will help you transform into the irresistibly charming Gucci girl. The collection includes a selection of makeup basics, from liquid foundation to eye products and lip shades in gold, black, red, ottanio, bronze, and copper. The packaging is very stylish, embossed with Gucci’s famous “double-G” which symbolizes the initials of the legendary fashion designer Guccio Gucci who established The House of Gucci in 1921.
