Guerlain Carousel Météorites Pearls for Spring 2016
Guerlain has just released a new, limited edition of its cult-favorite Météorites Pearls. This time, the famous beauty brand has come up with the Météorites Pearls Carousel, a constellation of light-revealing pearls of powder, aimed at enhancing the look of your skin by fading away imperfections and giving your complexion a fresh, youthful glow.
Guerlain’s iconic Météorites Pearls, a loose powder pressed into round spheres, was introduced back in 1987. Both functional and beautiful, this major cosmetic innovation relied on color-correcting properties of pigmented powders, which may be used to correct the color and neutralize any imperfections: pink for a healthy glow, green to camouflage redness, white to illuminate, and gold for an iridescent effect.
Have you ever wondered how Guerlain's Météorites Pearls are made? While Guerlain's charming new video wants us to believe that Météorites are made up above the clouds, in an oneiric factory, the trough is a rather different. The iconic pearls are made in Guerlain's pharmaceutical factories, in France, where the powder is stirred in a round, slow, and even rotating motion, until the pearls are formed. These delicate round pearls continue to be shaped by hand, to obtain evenly sized beads, with craftsmanship mastered by only four people in the world. The pears of each color are evenly measured by hand, before being poured into the box...

The latest rendition of Guerlain’s Carousel Météorites Pearls is a fresh, uplifting color harmony of reviving fuchsia, soft mauve that catches the light, sunny yellow that neutralizes dullness, and pearlescent white that reflects the light. When swirled together, the colors cancel each other out to create a neutral hue that illuminates the skin. The fuchsia pearls are very bright and vivid, so you may want to skip using the pearls all-over, but you can definitely use it on your cheeks, or to enhance the look of your blush.

This time, the Pearls are housed in a pink-colored tin jar. The unique design is inspired by an amusement park ride, so candy-pink colored jar features a strand of raised, colorful dots going around. Everything looks so sweet and irresistible – just like a cotton candy.
Guerlain Météorites Pearls Carousel Light-Revealing Pearls of Powder is priced at $62, and available from Nordstrom.com. And here is a small reminder of some of the prettiest renditions of Meteorites Pearls:
