Guerlain Un Soir a L’Opera for Christmas 2014

November sees the launch of Guerlain’s new Christmas collection, which is, this year, inspired by the glamour of the Opera. The collection is named Un Soir a L’Opera, and it brings us a whole range of luxurious limited edition products and shades in stylish festive packaging.

Guerlain is a beauty brand that very often drives inspiration from its rich heritage. Like many previous collections, the new Soir a L’Opera revolves around another historic theme. This time, the inspiration for its creation lies in Jacques Guerlain's 1937 perfume Coque d'Or, which is being re-launched this season in a sumptuous vintage edition with an oversize pink atomizer. The collection, whose name can be translated as “a night at the opera,” emphasizes glamorous shades of red and gold, evoking the heavy satin drapes of the opera and golden detailing of its lavishly decorated balconies.

Guerlain Coque d’Or Perfumed Iridescent Powder for Body and Hair arrives in a bottle that replicates the original Coque d'Or bottle. As you can see, it is shaped like a gilded bow tie, colored in gold, and fitted with a large pink-colored atomizer. € 81.00

Guerlain Petrouchka Eyes & Blush Palette arrives in a luxurious gold-colored dual tier mirrored compact, decorated with a pink bow. The bottom tier features four blushes, while the upper one holds five lovely eye shadows, three of which are shimmering. € 79.00

Guerlain Meteorites Perles D’Etoile are delivered in a dazzling golden packaging with golden-pink bow on the lid. The pearls are combination of pink, red, gold and bronze powders, which is a combination that results in a warm, pinky glow all over the face. € 50.50
