Hourglass is launching a selection of new finishing powders which are specifically designed to capture, diffuse and soften the light reflected on the skin.

The innovative formula of Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder results in soft, blurred-looking skin that shines out brightly and appears younger. The powders are designed to brighten the appearance and hide all skin imperfections, pores, fine lines and wrinkles.

Speaking about the inspiration for this new generation of powders, Carisa Janes, Hourglass CEO & Founder, said: “Growing up, my mother had pink light bulbs in all of the lamps throughout the house. She loved pink light because it was the softest and most flattering, and she always wanted to look good.”

Similarly, the Ambient Lighting Powders will manipulate and filter all unflattering lights using the photoluminescent technology. The powders are infused with micronized color-correcting particles that can create the appearance of fresh and radiant, healthy-looking skin. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder is free of parabens, talc, fragrance, nano-particles and gluten, and it is priced at $45.00.

The brand has also released a special Ambient Powder Brush, which is specially designed for even distribution of the product. The brush has extra soft, high-grade taklon bristles and it is delivered in a special travel pouch. Hourglass Ambient Powder Brush retails at $35.00.
