Hourglass Launches for Summer 2016

Hourglass Cosmetics, one of our favorite producers of luxury makeup, has just released two brand new products designed to transform your skin. Like many other Hourglass’ products, the new additions to the permanent line are designed to soften the way the light interacts with your skin, to conceal imperfections, and recreate the most flattering types of light. There are two new products. First, there is the new Ambient Light Correcting Primer, an innovative color corrector that uses theory of light to perfect the skin. In addition, Hourglass launches the Illume Sheer Color Trio, which helps to define, brighten, and highlight your facial contours. Both products are available for purchase at Sephora and Hourglass online.

Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer is a first of its kind! This innovative light correcting primer blurs imperfections, smoothes the surface of the skin, and perfects it for a subtle, soft glow. Thanks to its light correcting pigments, the oil-free formula cancels out harsh light and acts as a filter that neutralizes and blurs imperfections, while imparting soft light to the skin. The formula absorbs instantly and leaves your skin beautifully perfected and ready for makeup application. The primer can be worn on its own, or layered under your favorite foundation. Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer retails at $44 per shade. There are three different shades to choose from:

Dim Light - A natural beige that neutralizes light to create soft, dim lighting

Luminous Light - A champagne pearl that brightens light to create a luminous candlelit glow

Mood Light - A soft, sheer pink that softens the light to create the most forgiving mood lighting

Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio comes in a beautiful, chocolate-colored case with an integrated mirror. The compact delivers three luxurious crème-to-satin finish shades – a bronzer, blush, and highlighter. Essentially, this is everything you need for sheer definition with a hint of natural-looking color. Use it to define, brighten and highlight face, to give it a soft, natural finish, and an effortlessly natural look. The deepest shade is a neutral bronzer, designed to give a natural, sun-kissed tan, and to define the face. The middle shade is a sheer blush, while the lightest shade, a champagne highlighter, provides luminous glow without glitter or shimmer. The shades can be use on their own, or blended together to create a custom hue.
