At this year’s TFWA trade show in Cannes, I met the charming Cristelle Ribero, who is a marketing project manager at Institut Karité Paris. This is a French cosmetic brand that creates a very original skincare collection, which is entirely based on Shea Butter!

We all know how beneficial Shea butter is to the skin, but did you know that Shea butter solely satisfies all the skin needs? For this exact reason, Institut Karité Paris decided to make it a flagship ingredient of all of its products. Shea butter moisturizes, nourishes, protects and restructures the skin. Shea is saturated with vitamins A and D, as well as with antioxidant vitamin E and even vitamin F, which improves skin’s elasticity. At Institut Karite Paris, you can find the precious Shea in many different forms – from butters, to creams and oils.

The brand was established back in 2004, and it will be celebrating its 10th anniversary next year! Institut is already announcing the special anniversary collection, which will nicely complement this year’s exclusive limited series, called the Precious Hand Cream.

The Precious Hand Cream is, actually, a special edition of the brand’s best selling Hand Cream. This product should be launched by the end of this year, and it comes in a charmingly decorated second package with floral décor. The 75ml tube features orange highlights, while the cream itself blends alluring aromas of Almond & Honey. I was surprised to hear that this special series actually honors the famous historical figure Marie-Antoinette, a controversial Queen who left her mark on Versailles and French history. Even though many historians tend to attribute the start of the French revolution to Marie Antoinette, there is a lot of them who think that she was treated unjustly and that historical views of her should be more sensitive. Whatever the case is, no one can deny her unique personality and beauty, the sense of refinement, and a true “art de vivre,” which she spread around.

The Precious Hand Cream is bringing you the taste of the historical French elegance, with its delicate floral patterns and fresh refined shades. The cult Shea Butter formula of a silky, non-sticky texture, now combines savoir-faire and finesse to bring comfort to the skin. The blend is scented with delicious gourmand notes of Almond & Honey, taking your senses to a pleasant and unforgettable journey. Another interesting novelty coming from the laboratories of the Institut Karite Paris is the all-new Active Day Cream, which will be available in two different variants: for normal to combination skin and for dry to very dry skin. The Active Day Cream features 25% of Shea Cream, which is known for its moisturizing and nourishing properties. This cream, with a lightweight non-greasy and non-sticky texture, actually moisturizes the upper layers of epidermis, leaving a comfortable feeling of a soft skin. The cream is scented with a delicate Milk Cream aroma, which is both fresh and subtle at the same time. The creams will be delivered in 100 ml jars, and the brand is going to announce the price very soon.
