Alexandra Whitcombe, a New York-based florist, is launching a skin care line called Vendôme Paris. Whitcombe, who has an extensive background in botany, debuts a line of nine stockkeeping units aimed at women in their early 30s and 40s. If you belong to this age group you may start to notice signs of discoloration, or uneven skin tone, because your skin only exfoliates naturally every 35 days – no less than twice slower than in your 20's. As you’re approaching the middle age, your skin becomes dryer, the expression lines are becoming more obvious, while the neck and décolleté area might start to look winkled as well. Overall, what you need in your 30s and 40s is a good cleansing routine, a good exfoliator, and some high-quality moisturizers enriched with collagen-boosting ingredients.

Alexandra Whitcombe’s Vendôme Paris collection will offer botanical-based skin care solutions formulated with Swiss herbs, and based on the old-world homeopathic skincare recipes. As announced by its founder, the Vendôme Paris range will include a full array of anti-aging products, from cleansing milk to restorative night cream. The products will be priced from $75 to $350, and they will be available at vendomeparis.com, and high-end pharmacies and department stores.
For next spring, Alexandra Whitcombe announces the launch of her first makeup collection. Same as her skin care range, the color collection will also target women somewhere in between their thirties and early forties. The name of the brand refers to the Place Vendôme, a famous square in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, France, which has for long been home to luxury hotels and the most prestigious jewelry and fashion stores. The packaging is also a nod to France, more precisely – its cuisine, as its colorful casing mimics a box of macaroons.
Alexandra Whitcombe’s Vendôme Paris skin care launches at the end of September. Stay tuned for more information.
