Kat Von D collaborates with Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong

The rock and roll princess of the beauty world, Kat Von D, has just teased an exciting new collaboration. This time, Kat collaborates with Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the punk rock band Green Day.

The details of the collaboration haven’t been officially announced yet, but what we do know by now is that Kat Von D and Billie Joe Armstrong are working on a new eyeliner, going by the name of Basket Case Eyeliner. The product is named after a song that appears as the seventh track and third single from Green Day's third studio album, Dookie (1994). 

Kat Von D’s new Basket Case Eyeliner, which is obviously inspired by Armstrong’s favorite guyliner look, is described as an ANTI-PRECISION eyeliner. In other words, the product is designed to help you achieve that ideal smudge with a little bit of punk rock into it. So, we expect the Basket Case Eyeliner to be a kohl pencil in a deep charcoal shade, or even a true black, with a soft, smudgeable formula that allows you to diffuse the line nicely for an edgy slept-in, messy look.

Kat Von D Basket Eyeliner will be presented in a black plastic tube adorned with gold-colored lettering and Billie Joe Armstrong’s signature. At this moment, it’s totally unclear whether more products with be included in the Kat Von D x Billie Joe Armstrong collection. The official launch date is yet unknown, but it might fall somewhere around November 17, when Green Day will finally release its new greatest hits album called “God’s Favorite Band,” featuring two all new songs!
