Kenzo Taps Into Makeup With Kenzo World Eye Palette
Kenzo, the world-renowned French luxury fashion house, is branching into makeup this fall! The upscale label, known for its bold prints, lively textures, and exotic designs, has already transfused its poetic outlook on the world into the realm of beauty.

In 1988, Kenzo launched its first fragrance – Kenzo by Kenzo. In 2001, a skincare line named Kenzoki launched; and this year, the brand debuts its first makeup product – the Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette.
Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette is inspired by the namesake women’s fragrance from 2016. This fresh, floral composition, envisioned by Francis Kurkdjian, combines the notes of peony, jasmine, and ambergris in a sparkling union with a stylish, lingering aura. The fragrance is presented in a unique bottle that features black rubber, pink gold and opaline. Its gommato cap is inspired by the iconic Kenzo Kalifornia bags, adorned with detailing in pink gold metal from "The Eye" jewelry collection. The all-seeing eye is a main motif of the collection and alludes to the force of the third eye and spiritual protection from above.

The forthcoming eyeshadow palette follows the same line of inspiration. The all-seeing eye appears not only on the cover of the palette and its outer packaging, but also on the inside. Each of the seven round eyeshadow pots is framed by a white almond-shaped motif, resembling a wide-awaken eye, open for contemplation of this world.

The Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette is designed by the artistic duo of the brand, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon. It includes eight shimmer-infused shades, ranging from universally flattering earthy neutrals, to highlighter white, rich burgundy, and three lively pops in blue, bronze, and yellow gold. The vibrant, playful shades are perfect to wear both night and day.
According to industry insiders, Kenzo World Eyeshadow Palette will be released October 2018. The price is yet to be announced.
