Kiehl's Since 1851 Ultra Facial Cream now with SPF 30

The famous American cosmetics brand, Kiehl’s Since 1851, has just introduced a new version of its cult-favorite Ultra Facial Cream. This potent moisturizer, which has been a favorite of Kiehl’s fans since the 1970’s, arrives in a brand new version that combines 24-hour hydration with broad-spectrum SPF 30.

Due to its extraordinary ability to protect from the elements, this moisturizer was used by climbers summiting Mt. Everest in 1988. Known to help reduce moisture loss while drawing and absorbing moisture from the atmosphere, this lightweight hydrator provides continuous moisture replenishment throughout the day. It completely hydrates the skin, without any greasy residue, absorbs quickly and leaves the skin smooth, supple, and more balanced.

In the summer of 2017, the iconic Ultra Facial Cream has been updated to provide even more protection. Thanks to the inclusion of sun-blocking ingredients, it now helps protect against skin-damaging UVA and UVB rays. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream SPF 30 filters out about 97% of UV-B rays, while the UVA-screening ingredient, stabilized Avobenzone 3% provides good protection from ultra-violet rays type A. 

Just like its predecessor, Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream SPF 30 is formulated with Antarcticine®, a Glycoprotein known to withstand extreme cold, and “Fountain Plant,” Ophiopogon Japonicus Root Extract, which helps boost skin hydration and maintains its natural moisture reserves. Another powerful ingredient found in the formula is Kiehl’s signature Squalane, which is derived from olives. Squalane has emollient properties that allow it to coat the surface of the skin and help hold on to moisture.
