Kiehl’s is launching a new product designed to diminish the effects of internal stress on the skin - the Skin Rescuer Stress-Minimizing Daily Hydrator.
Stress causes inflammations of the skin, changes in the complexion, redness, breakouts and all kinds of blemishes. It is not a secret that too much stress causes premature aging and makes us look older than we really are. People with underlying skin conditions – such as psoriasis, eczema, rosacea or dryness of the skin – are most severely affected by stress. The new Skin Rescuer from Kiehl’s offers a solution for all these issues and skin conditions in three simple steps. The unique formula, based on natural botanicals, meets various skin-care demands. First of all, a blend of chamomile extract, glycerin and shea butter, calms, hydrates and treats the skin. Rose gallica extract soothes the skin by limiting the release of stress signals and thus minimizes the inflammatory response. Last but not least, the formula contains a monosaccharide mannose, olive-derived squalene and a proprietary ceramide blend to repair the skin from in and out, and to fortify its natural protective barrier. Various stress-related skin conditions usually occur as a response to internal or emotional stress. Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer breaks the cycle by making the skin less vulnerable and strengthening its barriers. The formula is developed in collaboration with Columbia University scientists. The 2,5oz/75ml bottle will retail for $40, and will be available from around 300 specialty stores in the U.S., form 50 freestanding Kiehl’s stores and on kiehls.com. The product is already available at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.
