Kiehl's Teams Up With Jeff Koons for Charity

For every holiday season the famous skin care line Kiehl’s creates a new limited edition collection in collaboration with Jeff Koons. This famous American neo-pop artist is known for his reproductions of everyday objects. His balloon animals, crafted in stainless steel with polished surfaces, are probably his best known creations. For some of the most prominent clinicians he is an art pioneer and genius of our times, while the others dismiss his work as kitsch of no aesthetic value. Even the author himself states that there is no hidden meaning in his pieces: "A viewer might at first see irony in my work... but I see none at all. Irony causes too much critical contemplation."

Contrary to his works of art, the limited edition collection for Kiehl’s definitely means a lot – no less than 100% of the profits gathered from selling of this limited edition collection will be donated to The Koons Family Institute on International Law and Policy, an initiative of the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC). Both Kiehl’s and Jeff Koons are looking forward to raising up to $200,000, which will be used for prevention of child sexual exploitation and trafficking worldwide.

The collection includes Creme de Corp Body Moisturizer and special Jeff Koons Bottle bottle-topper ($50), a scaled-down replica of his original work, "Balloon Flower (Yellow)" from his "Celebration" series. The moisturizer is available in three sizes: 8.4 oz bottle retails at $29; 16.9 oz. with pump, retails at $47; while 1 liter retails at $72.
