La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Cream & Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil

I’m back with more exclusivities from the TFWA 2013 exhibition in Cannes, France. Today I’m unveiling what the famous Swiss brand La Prairie has prepared for the next year!

La Prairie is introducing two new products into their celebrated age delaying range: the Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Cream and the Dry oil. Both of the products are launching in February 2014, and their formulas are inspired by the nature’s most powerful survival secrets. There are three key ingredients to the formula: purple saxifrage, soldanella alpina and Swiss snow algae. Each of them thrives and survives at the highest altitudes of the Swiss Alps, and they keep growing even through the snow and ice. This inspired La Prairie’s research and development team to create the patent-pending Swiss Ice Crystal Complex, which transfers the survival skills of the plants into the skin, by making the skin cells more resilient, and more resistant to external and internal stressors: climate extremes, pollution, constant travel, lack of sleep, anxiety.

As Dr. Daniel Stangl states, “I’ve been with the brand since 1993 – through 20 years of ground breaking, innovative launches – and the new Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal products are among the most exciting products we’ve developed.  To be able to capture the youth-protecting properties and adaptive nature of the three survivalist plants – deemed the Swiss Ice Crystal Complex – and combine those with revolutionary technologies of modern skincare is exceptional.  In essence, the Swiss Ice Crystal Complex helps skin outwit daily aging assaults from the environment – an incredible achievement.”

La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Cream is a daily moisturizer that helps the skin to adapt to stress, environment hazards and aging. I had a chance to feel the texture and I have to say that it is amazingly soft and smooth, and spreads out nicely – it is an oil-in-water gel-cream. The cream immediately penetrates into the skin, leaving a fresh, moisturized feel. In addition to Swiss mountain herbs, the formula blends two plant cell extracts based on stem cell technology (which are boosting the skin’s renewal processes), Hyaluronic Acid and photo-reflecting particles to make the skin look luminous as lit from within. The cream should be used after cleansing and toning, but if you wish to feel even more hydrated, try blending it with a drop or two of Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil.  It also works great as a recovery cream for very stressed skin, and it will provide immediate restorative results to skin that has been stressed by dermatological procedures, climate changes or travelling.

La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil is a hydrating, nourishing oil based on a special blend of pure oils with anti-aging benefits. The oil is lightweight, it absorbs into the skin immediately and it doesn’t cause any breakouts at all. Actually, pure natural oils the most skin-friendly products available, capable to truly prevent the moisture loss, keep the skin supple and radiant. I have to stress out that I’m not talking about the oily sine, but rather about a healthy natural glow of a well-nourished skin. The oil can be used on its own or mixed with a cream or a serum.

Both products are delivered in a clear Lucite outer shell decorated with an ice crystal effect. There is a shiny silver cap on top, to emphasize the frosty inspiration hidden behind the formula. La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal is available in 50 ml / 1.7 FL OZ jar, and the suggested retail price for it is 260 Euro. The Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dry Oil arrives in 30ml bottle, priced at 260 Euro as well.

I will be testing these two products in the next couple of weeks and I’ll let you know my impressions!
