La Prairie extends its Cellular Swiss Ice portfolio with the introduction of two new products: the Crystal Eye Cream and the Crystal Emulsion.

The new Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream & Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Emulsion are joining the brand’s Cellular Swiss Ice collection, which was launched earlier this year. The range represents an innovative solution to help protect skin from premature aging. Same as its predecessors, the Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream and Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Emulsion are based on the Swiss Ice Crystal Complex that is designed to mimic the survival mechanisms of Purple Saxifrage, Soldanella Alpina and Swiss Snow Algae, which are native to the Swiss Alps. These alpine plants and one algae have evolved and developed strategies to protect their own DNA in the harsh environment of the highest mountaintops, covered with everlasting snow, that allow them to flourish each year despite the extreme conditions. Using the cutting-edge bio-technology, La Prairie has translated the strength and wisdom of these plants into its Cellular Swiss Ice collection, which protects the skin from aging and makes it more resilient to daily extremes of life (such as heat, cold, changing climates and pollution).

January 2015 sees the launch of the Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream, which is formulated to fight the first signs of aging in the eye area, and Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Emulsion, which is a lightweight daily moisturizer.

La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream is said to improve smoothness and hydration in the eye area, while brightening the dark circles and boosting skin’s own defenses against aging. The eye cream has a soft and smooth texture and, in addition to the Swiss Ice Crystal Complex, it blends another powerful ingredient – brightening White Bird of Paradise plant extract. This active is capable of breaking down the excess bilirubin in our tissues, thus minimizing discolorations and promoting even skin tone. Moreover, its formula contains moisturizing hyaluronic acid and nourishing Shea butter.

La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream should be used morning and evening. The product is applied with fingertips around the contours of the eye. The final effect you may expect is erased fatigue and dramatically reduced look of puffiness, dark circles, lines and dryness.

La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Eye Cream comes in a 20 ml jar (0.68 oz) made of a clear Lucite outer shell that has an ice crystal effect, and with a silver cap. The cream retails at $212 USD. La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Emulsion is a lightweight hydrating moisturizer that forms an invigorating veil over the skin. The product is aimed at those who enjoy lighter moisturizers, but it also doubles as an ideal beauty companion for use in warmer, humid climates. Same as its Eye Cream counterpart, the Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Emulsion boasts an extra ingredient – the illuminating Saponaria Pumila that boosts radiance of the skin. The emulsion is mixed with imperceptible micronized light-refracting pigments, which contribute to the vitality of the complexion. In addition, the formula includes plumping ingredients, tissue guidance matrix, Coffea Bengalensis stem cell extract, pentapeptide-34 and Vitamins C and E.

La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Emulsion should be used morning and evening, on clean skin. Smooth it over face, neck and décolleté after toning and serum, to leave your skin invigorated, refreshed and balanced. Since it improves skin resiliency, it can also be used as an emergency moisturizer for extremely stressed skin (either from dermatological procedures, environmental factors, or daily stress).

La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Emulsion comes in a 50 ml (1.7 FL oz) bottle with an ice crystal effect. The product is priced at $286 USD.
