La Roche-Posay introduces new very high protection sunscreens

La Roche-Posay, the sensitive skin specialist famous for its advanced dermatological skincare solutions, has designed some exciting new products to slather on this summer. The renowned French brand introduces four new products to its Anthelios line, which is all about offering high levels of UVA and UVB protection for sensitive or sun intolerant skin. The products are offered in various textures, suitable for every skin type, every indication, and every type of exposure.

The new summer additions to the Anthelios line offer very high protection – above SPF 50! This means that new products block an estimated 98 percent of UVB rays. But, don’t get too excited! This is only a one percent improvement form an SPF 30+ product, which blocks 96.7 per cent of UVB rays. Since these are a broad-spectrum sunscreens, they protect skin from both types of UV rays, including UVA “ageing” rays, but, again, SPFs mainly measure UVB protection. One thing you can do to ensure that your sunscreen gives you good protection from all kind of rays, is to look for formulations that include some combination of broad-spectrum ingredients such as zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, avobenzone, ecamsule, and oxybenzone. La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Gel-Cream arrives in two practical versions. One is a Dry Touch gel-cream, which promises to give you double anti-shine action, immediate absorption, ultra-dry finish, and no white marks whatsoever. The other one is a Tinted Dry Touch gel-cream, which protects skin from sunburns and skin reactions. The formulation includes the proprietary MEXOPLEX filtering system and a blend of universal micro-pigments for a natural tone.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Fluid provides very high facial protection for sensitive, sun-intolerant skin. It prevents the formation of sun-induced spots, and gives an invisible, non-sticky finish.

Finally, the Anthelios Invisible Face Mist offers high level of sun protection in an ultra-light mist texture. This refreshing mist is formulated with thermal water and air fusion technology. It can be applied over make-up and throughout the day.
