Lancome Roseraie Des Delices Collection for Spring 2012
Here is an exclusive preview of Lancôme’s upcoming Spring 2012 collection. The new makeup line, designed by Aaron de Mey, Lancôme Make-up Artistic Director, is simply gorgeous. The source of inspiration for Roseraie Des Delices was the lush garden of roses at the family home of Lancome founder, Armand Petitjean.
Roses have been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for this brand. Even the name “Lancôme” was inspired by the ruins of a castle, Le Château de Lancosme, while the roses growing around the castle, inspired the brand’s recognizable insignia - the golden rose.
The new collection includes a wonderful eye palette Les Yeux Doux Vert Tendresse, which is also available in Rose Romance. There are no photos of the former one, but (judging from its name) I believe it is a pink color harmony eye palette.
La Roseraie Blush Palette, embossed with an image of a rose, combines beautiful pink blush and lighter shade of slightly shimmering highlighter. The blush palette comes in a compact black lacquered case equipped with a convenient square mirror.
The collection also offers a selection of Color Fever Glosses in Green Petal, Tangerine Petal and Rose Petal. The one you’re seeing on the picture is a green-colored gloss in exciting mint shade. However, this doesn’t mean that Lancôme suggests green lips as the ultimate spring-time trend – the gloss leaves a clear shine and just a hint of fresh aqua shimmer.
French Touch Absolu Lipstick is offered in three new shades: Rose Candy (on the picture), Cotton Candy and Sweet Marmalade. There are also three shades of Nail Polish: Green Almond, Rose Macaroon and Rose Tangerine.
The collection will launch on January 1, 2012.
