Le Metier de Beaute presents their new makeup collection designed for fall 2012. The collection is inspired by the visionary spirit of avant-garde European film directors and it is named simply – Nouvelle Vague.

Nouvelle Vague is a French term for the “New Wave” - the inaugural cinema movement of the late 1950s and 1960s defined by rejection of classical cinematic form and the spirit of youthful unorthodoxy. The New Wave way of film making is characterized by a documentary type style, and some of the most influential film directors of this era are Јean-Luc Godard, Otto Preminger, and Francois Truffaut. In the words of Mikey Castillo, Director of Color for Le Métier de Beauté, this collection is inspired by their visionary spirit and “Their radical style reset the button on social convention (and good taste)!”

Le Metier de Beaute Nouvelle Vague Collection brings two kaleidoscope kits, one for the eyes and one for the lips. Both items will be available starting from October 2012, at Neiman Marcus, neimanmarcus.com, Bergdorf Goodman, bergdorfgoodman.com, select Nordstrom stores, Nordstrom.com, select Saks stores and Saks.com.

Nouvelle Vague Kaleidoscope Eye Kit is priced at $95.00 and inspired by spark present throughout the French cinema New Wave. The shades, from top to bottom, include Nouvelle, a sheer mink negative, Gamine, a satin pink celluloid, Icon, a silky matte Parisian mauve and Fin, a smoldering black carbon.

Breathless Kaleidoscope Lip Kit is also priced at $95.00 and it brings seasonal must-haves in crimson and red shades. The kit is inspired with classic Hollywood glam and the spirit of the roaring 60’s an it brings following shades (from top to bottom): Cinema, a velvety, ultra-rich true red, Existential, sparkling mauve with rose effervescence, Beau, deep berry crimson with matte finish and Celluloid, a glimmering, creamy flushed red.
