L'Oréal Paris Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub with Scrublet

SUMMARY: My newest paraben-free facial scrub, L'Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub offers salicylic acid and apricot seed powder along with a soft scrublet that pops out from the container to add additional pore-cleansing and minimizing benefits.

ABOUT THE BRAND: French company L'Oreal Paris is one of the best-known, internationally sold beauty brands. Originally founded in 1909 with a single hair coloring product, L'Oreal now offers a wide range of hair, bath/body, and cosmetic products in over 120 countries.

USE: L'Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub provides a kitschy pop-out scrublet that fits firmly between fingers to be used with the facial scrub. It's a soft rubber with raised nubs that helps to remove dirt, dead skin and oil and offers a little bit of a massage for the face (and scalp, if you're a bald dude like me). It's an extra bonus that makes showering even more enjoyable.

The inclusion of natural apricot seed powder aids exfoliation while the sailcylic acid helps to minimize and unclog pores. I use it every other day alternating with a non-exfoliating facial cleansing gel. Typically I need a good moisturizer after a salicylic acid product but I'm surprised by how soft and moisturized my skin feels after using Go 360 Clean.

AROMA & TEXTURE: Typically, my facial cleansers smell, well, awful. They can be mentholated or highly perfumed or perfume-free which often results in an aroma like postage stamps. Go 360 Clean has a truly pleasant aroma, much like apricots. It's not overly strong but it does provide an extra sense of pleasant freshness that I hadn't been expecting.

The texture is typical of apricot facial scrubs with fine particles.

PROS & CONS: Reviews at Loreal.com offer a range of feedback albeit mostly positive. For example, one reviewer raves:

"I really enjoyed this deep cleaning product because of my ethnicity I constantly have oily skin that shines 24/7 in the T-zone. 360 Deep Cleans while Exfoliating WITHOUT over drying your skin! Leaving you so fresh and so clean with a light scent of apricots :)"

On the other end of the spectrum, another reviewer complained:

"I used the Deep Cream Cleanser and LOVED it, but I couldn't find it in the store again, so I bought this one. It is absolutely the worst. I have sensitive, very clear skin with very low oil, naturally. Using this cleanser made my face extremely oily and I have horrible break-outs and my skin is red all the time. I hadn't changed anything else that could have caused it, but just to be sure, I stopped using it for a bit, and, sure enough, my skin returned to normal. Too harsh for sensitive skin."
