Here’s the exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming MAC and Rihanna beauty collaboration – RiRi Loves MAC Makeup Collection!

MAC has just signed an amazing new deal! The famous beauty brand is announcing a color cosmetic line designed in collaboration with a Barbadian recording artist Rihanna! Following the success at Grammy awards and the launch of her new fashion collection with British retailer River Island, Rihanna is ready to debut in makeup world with MAC Cosmetics.

MAC and Rihanna have joined their forces to create a couple of collections of color cosmetics, each slated for release later this year. The first product will launch with Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour concerts on May 4 and 5 – RiRiWoo lipstick, based on Rihanna’s favorite shade of red – Ruby Woo. The lipstick will be available from a pop-up shop, on the first night of the show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. At first, RiRi Woo lipstick will be sold exclusively at the Rihanna concerts and online. MAC will follow up with a summer collection, a collection for brick-and-mortar stores for fall, and with an on-counter holiday collection. The four collections will be released as RiRi <3 MAC and they will comprise of 31 stock keeping units. The products will feature a special packaging with Rihanna’s signature. The central piece of all for collections is the RiRi Woo lipstick, and it will be sold with all of them. The summer collection will bring two more lipsticks, a Lustre Drops in Rihanna’s favorite shade and a powder blush duo. Fall collection will comprise of 16 units, including four lipsticks, a richly pigmented RiRi Woo Lipglass, two eye shadow palettes and faux lashes. Holiday brings ten more items, including nail polish shades, a makeup bag and a number of lipsticks.

Each of the four collections will have its own look and feel, its own vibe, own flavor and packaging. At the same time, they all convey Rihanna’s iconic style and makeup, making it easier for the army of her fans to follow her look.

Rihanna has closely collaborated with MAC on creating RiRi Woo. As she said: “Working with MAC, it’s difficult to get a red lipstick that beats Ruby Woo, because it works on every skin tone. I had so many different samples to choose from and so many different colors underneath — blue, yellow, orange and pink bases. And I got to pick one that worked, and I tried it on all my friends to make sure it worked on all of our skin tones”... “I never thought I’d be able to create makeup with such a big brand so quickly at such a young age. It’s kind of sick to even say aloud when I think about it.”
