MAC is launching a small collection, which is designed in collaboration with visual artist and singer Amrita Sen. The collection, named BollyDoll, is all about beauty accessories, such as various brushes and colorful makeup bags.
Each of the beauty bags is graced with beautiful illustrations made by Amrita Sen. As you can see, the motifs are inspired by Indian prints from the Moghul era, and they represent a magic land filled with music and art. The name of the collection references to the BollyDoll entertainment and fashion lifestyle brand, which is created by singer, song-writer and visual artist Amrita Sen. You may remember her for her 2009 Academy Awards performance of "Jai Ho" from the movie Slumdog Millionaire. The brand is today one of the leaders in women’s couture, and it can be found in high-end department stores such as Nordstrom and Dillard.
MAC BollyDoll Collection is launching January 1st, 2015 at select MAC locations and maccosmetics.com
