MAC has just announced the start of its new collaboration. This time, the world-famous cosmetics brand collaborated with Chinese fine jewelry designer Bao Bao Wan.

As announced on Bao Bao Wan’s Instagram page, the campaign and beautifully packed products will be launched in 86 worldwide countries in March 2014. The campaign visuals are shot by Chinese visual artist and fashion photographer Chan Man, who also did her own collaboration MAC Cosmetics in 2012, designing a range of pink and blue products representing love and water.

For Bao Bao Wan, beauty collaboration with MAC is not the first of this kind. This striking lady is also Dior’s beauty ambassador in China. Together with MAC, Wan will create a limited edition makeup collection inspired by gemstones that she uses to make jewelry and other adornments. The collection will be available only for four weeks, and it will be distinguished by special packaging designed by Wan herself: “When you design jewelry, you have to match the material with color and decide how you want your ‘picture’ to look. That picture became the packaging.” (From an interview for WWD) MAC and Bao Bao Wan makeup collection is described as practical, easy, and flattering for all different kinds of skin tones. As Wao said, there are no crazy colors in the collection, but her favorite golden shade is used prominently. The collection features four lipsticks, three nail polishes, and a beauty powder. All details about the color palette and packaging are still kept completely secret.The collection will be unveiled to the Asian press in Hong Kong, on December 4th. Another promotional event, a gala dinner, will be organized in Bejing, in late January.
