MAC partners with three leading makeup artists for the Makeup Art Cosmetics collection

MAC Cosmetics has just announced the launch of its new collaborative project, the Makeup Art Cosmetics collection. The famous beauty brand, known for its exciting celebrity collaborations, is now partnering with three of the best makeup artists - Kabuki, James Kaliardos, and Diane Kendal. All three of them have already worked with MAC Cosmetics on and off the runway!

As Jennifer Balbier, MAC’s senior vice president for Global Product Development, explained: “Artistry and product innovation are at the core of MAC Cosmetics. For many years we’ve worked with Kabuki, James, and Diane backstage creating makeup looks and providing invaluable new product feedback at countless fashion weeks. It was a natural progression to collaborate with them on their own collections with new products and their favorite shades and tools”

The grandiose Makeup Art Cosmetics Collection is scheduled for release in January 2017. The range will include no less than 50 different products for eyes, lips, and face. The range comprises three individual color collections, each reflecting one of the artists’ individual syles.

MAC x Kabuki Makeup Collection

To give you a tease of what to expect, Kabuki revealed that MAC gave him a complete freedom over the project, and that he believes you’ll love the colors, textures and long-lasting wearability of the products. James Kaliardos said that he drew inspiration from the archive of MAC’s colors that he loved and used over the years. Diane Kendal revealed that she’s very much excited about the collaboration, as they all have their own distinct styles which will compliment and show case the collection to its fullest.
