As announced a couple of months ago, MAC Cosmetics is teaming up with a London-based Irish milliner and designer Philip Treacy, for a special limited edition makeup range.
Philip Treacy have already collaborated with MAC Cosmetics on the makeup for his shows, for over 20 years. This time, the famous milliner is launching his own makeup line, which is a project two years in the making. The range is described as composed of colors and textures that make our natural features look good. The
Philip Treacy Makeup is not dramatic, but rather beautiful and elegant, inspired by the transformative effect of wearing hats or clothes. The collection focuses on three different color palettes - metallic, colorful and “slightly Gothic” – each inspired by different Treacy hats. The metallic range evokes a silver Art Deco-styled hat; the colorful range symbolizes the pink, feathered hat; while the Gothic range takes its cue from a black lace face mask. These wonderful creations have been used for the collection’s campaign, which was shot by MAC makeup artist and photographer Sølve Sundsbø. The 12-product range designed by MAC and Philip Treacy is launching in April 2015.
