We first heard about MAC Studio QuikTrik Sticks in February this year, at the time of London Fashion Week. As always, backstage was filled with the latest hair and beauty products, including one straightforward winner – MAC Studio QuikTrik Stick! MAC Make-Up Artists have all been seen using the Studio QuikTrik Sticks – the versatile, multi-use, double-ended makeup sticks with a creamy-textured cream blush/contour on one side, a highlight on the other side.

Thanks to their creamy formula, the contouring and highlighting shades are very easy to blend. The duo stick is versatile enough to be used on eyes, cheeks, lips and skin. You may use it to enhance bone structure, to sculpt, add dimension, shadow, highlight, and warmth to your complexion. This season, contouring should be INVISIBLE and seamless! In a recent interview for Cosmopolitan, MAC Director of Makeup Artistry Terry Barber explained how to use the QuikTrik Sticks to give your face structure with radiance: " MAC's Studio Quick Trick Sticks (double-ended highlight and contour sticks, being trialled backstage at the moment) gives you 'gym skin'. Like you've just come out a spa, so instead of the 3D strobing thing, it looks kind of real. Like Giselle on the beach."
The Sticks are very easy to use, thanks to their melting creamy texture and shades perfectly matched to the natural skin tone. As MAC proclaims: Any way you swipe is just right! The highlighter is very silky, and reflects light in the most beautiful way, without any chunky glitter whatsoever. Use it on your cheeks, on the brow bones, on the cupid’s brow, or even on your shoulders of décolleté. A darker shade can be used for hollowing out cheekbones to create an illusion of depth and dimension. Use it to sculpt and shape eyes, or to warm up your skin. Use them in conjunction with MAC 164 Duo Fibre Curved Sculpting Brush, or 130 Short Duo Fibre brush.
