Here is the first look at Marc Jacobs’ makeup collection, which will hit the stores on Aug. 9 exclusively at Sephora, and select Marc Jacobs stores.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Collection is divided into four broad ranges. First of them is Smart Complexion range, which includes foundations, concealers and powders. There’s Blacquer line, which is Jacobs’ personal favorite. It includes the blackest black makeup products including a precision pen eyeliner, lash lifters and gel crayons. Hi-Per Color is the range that contains lip products, blushes, eye shadows, bronzers and nail lacquers. Last but not least is the Boy Tested, Girl Approved collection, which offers a lip balm, brow tamer and concealer.
Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Super-Charged Foundation is based on the buoyancy gel technology and offers ant aging benefits along with buildable coverage in 16 versatile shades. $48 Marc Jacobs Remedy Concealer Pen is available in seven different shades, along with universal brightener and universal corrector shades. The concealer pens are also based on anti-aging ingredients. Their palladium tip brings immediate relief for tired eyes, it cools and smoothes skin upon application. $39
Marc Jacobs Magic Marc’er Precision Pen Eyeliner, which features the blackest black shade, is inspired by the famous designer’s living room table. The eyeliner is priced at $30. Marc Jacobs Blush is priced at $30. Gel Lipsticks, available in 16 shades and named after Jacobs’ favorite movies, are also $30. Marc Jacobs Eyeshadows are named Style Eye-Con and they are available in in compacts of three shades for $42 and seven for $59.

There are a couple of unisex products as well: Lip Lock Moisture Balm, $24; Brow Tamer Grooming Gel, $24, and Remedy Concealer Pen (in universally brightening shade and as a complexion corrector) $39. The products will be merchandised on black-lacquered gondolas placed near each store’s Beauty Studio. Sephora will run a tease of the collection the weekend of July 19, when five products from Marc Jacobs Beauty range will be offered to shoppers. Marc Jacobs Beauty will launch in France, Italy and Spain in spring 2014, and in the rest of the Europe by the end of next year. The collection will be available in China as of 2015. The holiday collection is also planned, as well as a new spring-inspired range for 2014.
