Marc Jacobs Beauty Presents Runway Inspired Makeup Collection

Mark Jacobs Beauty has just revealed a gorgeous new capsule collection, which is directly inspired by the brand’s Spring 2017 New York fashion show.

Back in September, we saw Jacobs’s models rocking pastel-colored dreadlocks and platforms, attired in sequins, satin, snakeskin, faded denim and camouflage prints. Their hair and makeup included brightly colored dreadlocks gathered into a topknot, their eyes lit by shimmering eye shadow and framed by big bold spider lashes. As Jacobs explained, the collection is in part influenced by Tokyo youth culture.

To help you recreate this runway-inspired beauty look, Marc Jacobs introduces a very limited collection comprising essentials from Jacob’s permanent range. The shades and the textures, for eyes, lips, and nails, have already been tested out on the runway, for the label’s Spring 2017 collection.

Marc Jacobs The Velvet Reality Eye Collection is designed to help you recreate intense color with metallic effects. As Jacobs suggests, eyes should be bright, dazzling, romantic, and almost bewitching. The Velvet Reality Eye Collection takes a form of a set that features Twinkle Pop Stick Eyeshadow in "On The Verge," a bold icy grape shade, Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in "(Th)ink," a navy blue, and the cult-favorite Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. The products are delivered in a limited edition pouch designed by the illustrator Julie Verhoeven, who worked with Marc Jacobs on the spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection. - $49.00

Marc Jacobs Enamored With a Twist is a limited edition set of three Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquers. The shades include French Tickler, an iridescent peach shimmer; Pink Steam, an iridescent lavender shimmer; and the new shade Want Me?, an opaque beige-pink, exclusively available in this set. Everything is packed in a covetable pouch with the graphic illustrations of Artist Julie Verhoeven, who created the cartoon imagery featured in patchwork in Marc Jacobs Spring 2017 collection. - $54.00

Marc Jacobs Limited Edition Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer has been hand-selected by Marc himself to be worn in Marc Jacobs runway shows. Packaging was inspired by one of Marc Jacobs' favorite artists. The curvature of the nail bottle resembles a smile. The Enamored’s super shiny finish was inspired by Marc’s coffee table, which was finished with 30 coats of lacquer for the perfect, customized shine. This soft pink shade is named Pearl Jam. $18
