Milk Makeup has officially revealed its first ever collaboration. The beauty brand born in Milk photo studios in NY and LA have joined its forces with the legendary hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan!

The unlikely friendship between Wu-Tang and Milk Makeup traces back to 2012, when Wu-Tang performed in the Milk Gallery to launch New York Fashion Week. Now they're coming together once again for a cool lipstick range which is said to be inspired by the underground NYC roots of Wu-Tang and Milk Makeup. The collection includes 8 luxurious lipsticks, an edgy mirror shaped like a Wu-Tang logo, and a collection of Wu-Tang pins.

Wu-Tang x Milk Makeup collection pays homage to deep Wu wisdom, providing the Wu Wariors with makeup to master their identity. The design of the collection is strongly influenced by the Shaolin Kung Fu culture and Chinese philosophy’s feminine yin energy. The eight new lipsticks are each named after the eight earthly elements of the I Ching Trigrams, and presented in unique gold-colored barrels that reveal a custom-sculpted dragon upon opening.

The shades and textures were envisioned by Talani Diggs, married to Wu-Tang’s unofficial leader RZA. The formulas are infused with ancient Chinese ingredients, and there are three finishes to choose from: high shine, nourishing matte, and dimensional glitter.

There’s a cool campaign video featuring Harlem-based model Teyana Taylor and RZA’s original beats, designed help you get in the spirit of the Wu Warrior.

“The Wu Warrior knows exactly who he or she is, and we brought that to life with Kung Fu film visuals, which are so deeply ingrained in Wu culture,” explains Milk Makeup Co- Founder Georgie Greville. “Teyana is using Lip Color as a coat of armor.
