For all of us living on the Northern hemisphere, the summer is almost over. However, this doesn’t mean that the fun is over as well! The whole Moroccanoil team has been having so much fun testing their new product, Color Depositing Masks, which is unlike anything they’ve launched before. The product can be used to play with color, enhance your existing shade, or extend color between salon visits.

Color Depositing Mask is a hybrid between a semi-permanent hair color and a conditioning treatment. Designed to recover your strands, while giving them a beautiful temporary color, the mask arrives in seven different color options. The range of fun shades includes tropical pink Hibiscus, velvety Cocoa shade, and fashion-forward shades like Aquamarine, Rose Gold, and Platinum. There’s also a golden-hued Champagne, and crimson-brown Bordeaux.

The masks are designed to gradually fade over time. How long the color lasts depends on numerous factors, including your starting shade, your hair’s porosity, and how often do you wash your hair. As a rule of the thumb, people with lighter or more porous hair will experience a brighter and longer-lasting result.
The longer the mask is left on the hair, the more intense the color will be. However, the shade and intensity of the color may vary, because some parts of the hair may be more porous than others. So, if you have highlights, for example, the color will show most brightly on them. Unfortunately, the masks are not formulated to cover grays…

The formula includes Moroccanoil’s prized ArganID technology, which infuses argan oil deep into hair’s cortex and helps seal the cuticle, a nourishing blend of amino acids, and softening Apricot Kernel Oil. Moroccan Oil Color Depositing Masks are being sold in 200 ml ($28) tubes made out of 50% post-consumer recycled plastic as well as 30 ml packets ($7). Available now at Sephora.com.
