NARS Audacious Lipstick

NARS Cosmetics is certainly one of the most popular cosmetics and skin care companies across the globe. This high-end cosmetic brand, which is today owned by Shiseido, was founded by François Nars, make-up artist and photographer, exactly 20 years ago.

The NARS cosmetics line was launched with only twelve lipsticks, which were sold at Barneys New York. Francois Nars decided to enter the market with recognizable minimalist packaging, designed by Fabien Baron, while the brand’s first advertising campaign started in 1996. Today, after no less than 20 years of successful entrepreneurship and development of a full array of multi-use beauty products, NARS celebrates its 20th anniversary with a dedicatory lipstick collection. The brand pays tribute to its early beginnings with the launch of The Audacious Lipstick Collection, which includes no less than 40 seductive and provocative hues, from soft neutrals to striking reds.

The lipsticks are nestled in a new, modern matte-black case with magnetic closure, which is embossed with the NARS logo. All of the shades are brand new, and they will be available for purchase from now on – which means that none of them is limited edition, even though a couple of shades will be exclusive to Barneys! The Audacious Lipstick is priced at $32,00 per shade, and it is launching at September 1st at NARS online and Barney’s New York.
