Everybody would like to have thick, lustrous hair! Many of us suffer from having less and less hair, hair thinning and breaks. If you’re tired of your limp locks, then we have a great news for you today! Nioxin, a brand specialized in providing real solutions for hair thinning problems, is launching a new leave-in thickening treatment – Diamax.
Diamax Thickening Treatment uses HTX technology to deliver thicker and fuller hair. The best thing about this new product is that it actually yields immediate results! Reuben Carranza, chief executive officer of P&G Salon Professional, says that you can see the effects even after the first usage, as the product immediately increases the hair diameter.
HTX combines four key ingredients: caffeine, to increase hair growth and the production of hair in the hair follicle; panthenol, for moisture retention; niacinimide, create moisture barrier, and dimethicone, a silicone that forms a protective barrier.
Facts and figures
- Hair thinning afflicts three out of four people
- A typical person loses between 50 and 100 strands of hair a day
- If hair fiber loses 5% in its diameter, a person could appear to lose 5,000 strands of hair!
Nioxin Diamax Thickening Treatment is now available in approximately 15,000 salons in the U.S. and in 2,500 salons in Canada, it will be available nationwide in January, priced at $50.
If you’d rather try some great homemade natural remedies (most of them borrowed from our grannies) here are the best beauty recipes:

- Pour stale beer on the hair and rinse it off by shampooing.
- Rinse your hair with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and sage tea.
- Massage the honey into the hair and let it work for 15 minutes. Wash it away.
