OCC Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Hellcat Lip Tar

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics has partnered with Dorothy Martin, a lead vocal of American hard rock band named Dorothy, for a special, limited edition shade of OCC Lip Tar designed by Martin herself. As Dorothy explained, the new deep crimson hue, called Hellcat, is intended to bring out your inner fiercely independent female.
What inspired this interesting collaboration is not only that Dorothy speaks to the spirit of the brand, but also its “Get Up” music video that presents an exciting close-up of Dorothy Martin’s red lips as she sings the song. As she explained in one of her interviews: “We shot this video up close as one continual shot because I liked the simplicity of it. The image of messy bright red lips is equally important because it shows a woman who is standing on the verge of chaos, throwing caution to the wind, ready to risk it all for a chance to fly. This video channels a lot of inner aggression.”
The OCC Hellcat Lip Tar launched yesterday, on the last leg of the band Dorothy’s tour – at a sold-out show in Kalamazoo, Mich. Whoever attended the show had a chance to purchase the Lip Tar for $16.00. When the tour ends, on October 29, the shade will be available on Dorothy’s website itsdorothysucka.com.

Even in its special rendition, the Lip Tar formula remains the same. It is the original liquid lipstick known for its unrivaled pigment intensity, amazing blendability, and long-lasting power. Just a little bit of the formula goes a long way, and gives you full coverage and a natural crème-matte finish. The Lip Tar is formulated with moisturizing Hemp Oil and Vitamin E, while Peppermint Oil replaces any synthetic preservatives.
