Olympia Le-Tan Rouge in Love Minaudiere for Lancome

The famous handbag and minaudièrs creator Olympia Le-Tan has joined forces with beauty brand Lancôme, and the fruit of their collaboration is a new limited-edition, Rouge in Love-themed minaudière.

Minaudière is a small purse, rather a piece of jewelery, which is worn instead of an evening bag. It typically allows storage for just a couple of items and this time these are your beauty essentials! Olympia Le-Tan has personally chosen 12 of her favorite shades from Rouge in Love lipstick and Vernis in Love nail polish collections, and placed them in the minaudière. The sweet embroidered case, decorated in the Fifties pin-up style, includes shades such as Rouge Valentine, Miss Coquelicot, Midnight Rose, Coral in Love, Rose Boudoir and Rose Plumetis.

The minaudière is designed in the style of Olympia Le-Tan’s famous creations, which are inspired by the world of literature and old hand-stitched books. Speaking about the new collaboration, Olympia said: “I wanted to design the cover of an imaginary novel called ‘Rouge in Love’. I love drawing lips, so it was the perfect opportunity… The clasp and side, instead of having a gold finish like my other designs, are silver, like a mirror. Perfect to look into during the evening if you want to touch up your make-up.”

Olympia Le-Tan minaudière for Lancôme will be available through Lancome’s website and in a strictly limited edition of only 100 pieces. Only 100? Well, for each one of these beauties it takes Olympia no less than 18 hours to make!
