The luxury hair care collection Paul Mitchell MarulaOil is based on rare, natural Marula Oil, which is a cold-pressed type of oil, wild-harvested in Africa. The oil used for MarulaOil collection is of the purest and highest quality possible, richly saturated in nutrients and oleic acids, which are naturally occurring moisturizers, and even 50% more protective than celebrated Argan oil. Thanks to its amazing antioxidant properties, MarulaOil helps to moisturize, protect, and repair even the driest hair, at the deepest levels.

As explained by Jason Yates, vice president of marketing for John Paul Mitchell Systems, the collection is positioned as a rare luxury, and it is aimed at a different type of user, at more affluent consumers. The luxurious, restorative professional haircare range comprises a shampoo, conditioner, masque, and treatment oil. If used in conjunction, the products of the MarulaOil collection could improve the look of your hair by 80%. It promises a reduction in split ends, improved condition of hair, and more shine. The formulas are using time-release technology, which helps to nourish and hydrate hair throughout the day. The precious oil is delivered in the form of so-called MarulaSpheres, that bond to hair to deliver a burst of oil whenever you touch, style or brush your hair. 

• Paul Mitchell MarulaOil Rare Oil Replenishing Shampoo is a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo designed to tame your hair, infuse it moisture, and maintain its softness and fullness. The shampoo is delivered in a 7,5 oz (222ml) bottle
• Paul Mitchell MarulaOil Conditioner provides instant detangling and smooth and soft feel to your hair. The cold-pressed Marula oil provides nourishing hydration, smooths and repairs the hair surface. The conditioner comes in a 7,5 oz (222ml) pump-dispenser bottle.
• Paul Mitchell MarulaOil Intensive Mask is formulated to help repair coarse, dry hair. The mask thoroughly hydrates, smoothes and softens hair, while adding fullness. In addition, it seals split ends, prevents damage and provides UV protection. The mask is packed in a 6.8 oz (211ml) jar.
• Paul Mitchell MarulaOil Treatment is non-greasy, versatile treatment that delivers instant hydration, taming and softness. The treatment can be applied before shampooing, or to clean, damp hair, before blow-drying. It can also be used to tame frizz and flyaways, by applying a couple of drops on dry ends. The oil comes in 1,7oz (50ml) bottle.
• Paul Mitchell MarulaOil Treatment Light is a lightweight version of the MarulaOil treatment, specially formulated for fine hair. This non-greasy, treatment infuses skin with moisture, and delivers exactly the same benefits as the classic version of the treatment. The oil comes in 1,7oz (50ml) bottle.

Paul Mitchell MarulaOil collection will be sold through the company’s network of distributors, in more than 30 thousand salons. The prices go from $25 for the shampoo and conditioner to $40 for the treatments.
