Paul Percival and Adam Reed, famous London hair stylists, are best known for their editorial and runaway designs. With their combined 40 years of experience, the duo is venturing into a new line of business, by launching a collection hair care products called Percy & Reed.
Percy & Reed collection comprises of 16 professional products designed for customers to use them at home. All of the products are light enough to layer in hair, allowing the customers to set the foundation into hair by mixing them together. The line ranges from shampoos to styling products, and oils for both thick and fine hair. Some of the quirky and suggestive names used for the products are, for example: Bountifully Bouncy Volumizing Shampoo, Frightfully Firm Session Hold Hairspray, and No Oil Oil. They are delivered in minimalistic feminine packaging with hand-made illustrations and tips from the stylist on how to use products. Each of the products is formulated with one of the custom fragrances - A Walk in Nature” and “A Walk in the Rain” – expressively green fragrances, designed to be redolent of “the countryside on a spring morning, after it’s rained,” according to Reed.
The products are priced from 12 pounds, or $19, for a shampoo, to 24 pounds, or $38, for a pack of miniature products. The range launched in the U.K. earlier this fall in Selfridges, Space NK, Harvey Nichols and QVC.
