From his first fashion collections, Christian Dior has toyed with gold as the ultimate symbol of true luxury and dreams. So it's no wonder that Tyen, the creator of colors and creative director of Dior makeup decided to create an enchanting holiday collection featuring Gold.

Dior's Holiday 2011 collection is named Les Rouges Or and its goal is to put this luxurious shade and its variations on your eyes, lips and nails. The color gold provides the setting for Dior’s emblematic Rouge Dior lipsticks and Vernis nail polishes, as it reveals the potency of their shades, and like gold powder thrown into crystal fusion to colour it red, gold equals refinement, it glimmers with luxury. The collection really looks very elegant and since Dior always takes care of the appearance, the holiday palettes are housed in a chic tweed case featuring a Dior logo charm and The House of Dior’s iconic bow detailing.

The French author Jean Cocteau knew from the beginning the magical connection between Dior and Gold: “Dior, this airy genius of our times whose magical name includes that of God (Dieu) and Gold (or).”

Dior Deluxe Holiday Palette is a luxurious palette which includes all the essentials for creating various looks, from fresh and glowing skin to smoky eyes to bold lips. The left side of the palette contains a Creme de Rose Lip Balm, and a multi-toned Diorskin Nude sculpting powder.
