SEPHORA COLLECTION + Pantone Universe Color of the Year Collection 2016

Sephora and Pantone, the world’s leading authority on color, have created yet another exciting new collection, honoring the Pantone Color of the Year 2016. As announced by Pantone, 2016 will be dedicated to no less than two different hues: PANTONE Serenity 15-3919 and PANTONE Rose Quartz 13-1520!

The new collection interprets the colors of innocence in a gorgeous palette of pastel shades evocative of modern watercolors. The collection, which is about to launch in December 2015, is the fifth sequel of the successful collaboration. This time, Sephora offers new textures, finishes, and product forms in exciting new colors that can be worn any way and anywhere. This symbolic collection, that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude in our culture, is best explained in Pantone's promotional video:

Speaking about the collection, Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, said: “With the whole greater than its individual parts, joined together Serenity and Rose Quartz demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace. Additionally, we are experiencing a gender blur as it relates to fashion, which has in turn impacted color trends throughout all other areas of design, opening our eyes to different approaches to color usage.”

Serenity is a soft shade of blue, which goes well with all other shades from the blue family, and blends nicely with gray, olive, orchid and taupe. Rose Quartz is pairing well with dove gray, lilac and violet, or juxtaposed against deliciously deep chocolates, greens and apricots.

Sephora Pantone Color of the year 2016 Lipstick is offered in a limited edition shade named Rose Quartz. It promises a creamy, bold coverage, while its ultra-moisturizing formula is enriched with a blend of emollient oils and waxes for a velvety feel and high finish. The lipstick retails at $18.00.

Sephora Pantone Color of the Year 2016 Matte Lipstick is available in a pastel blue shade named Serenity. The hydrating lipstick formula is saturated with ultra-fine pigments, offer intense color payoff and satiny finish. The lipstick is priced at $18.00.

Sephora Color of the Year 2016 Modern Watercolors Lip Gloss Set is a limited edition selection of Sephora’s pastel lip glosses. The set includes 6 high-shine glosses in unique, yet wearable shades, including the star shades Serenity and Rose Quartz. The set retails at $28.00

Sephora Color of the Year 2016 Modern Watercolors Eye Palette comprises 24 shimmer and matte eyeshadows, including Serenity and Rose Quartz, as well as neutrals, chic pastels, and bold vibrants.
