Smashbox is collaborating with the American electro pop singer-songwriter and producer Santigold on a new makeup range named Santigolden Age, for Summer 2014.

Santigold is set to launch her first-ever makeup collection! The Santigolden Age collection is inspired by, what Santi calls, a post-2012 Golden Age - an imaginary world in which the Earth and its inhabitants exist in a perfect harmony with the whole of the universe and extraterrestrials. This limited edition range, which is strongly influenced by Santi’s eclectic style and her passion for science fiction, is scheduled for launch on April 1st 2014.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Santigold has revealed that the Ancient Egyptian eye makeup, and especially the Cleopatra look as made famous by Elizabeth Taylor, inspires the widest range of colors in this collection: “I tried to make the eye shadows really wearable across the board, and then do something bold and fun with the eyeliners. Smashbox Santigolden Age Be Legendary Lip Gloss is available in two shades hand-picked by Santigold. The first shade, All Gold E’rything, is described as a sheer copper with discrete sparkle. The second shade, named Hot Lava, is a vibrant orange-red. ($20)

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick Ring ($49) is the first of its kind ever created by Smashbox. This limited edition collectible snake-pyramid ring is decorated with Swarovski crystals and it discretely opens to reveal a soft golden-coral shade of Be Legendary Lipstick, named Still Kickin’, hidden inside.
