Smashbox Step By Step Ombre Eye Set

Smashbox is launching an interesting new product named Step By Step Ombre Eye Set. The set includes an eyeshadow palette, a mascara, an eyeliner and a lip gloss - all mixed and matched to help you recreate trendy ombre look for Fall 2013.

Ombre eye makeup is putting the emphasis to the graduation of color from darker to lighter. You can play with any variation of shades as long as you're keeping the gradient effect. Use the darker shades on the bottom and lighter shades as you move up the eyelid. For Fall 2013, Smashbox recommends purple-colored ombre eye and issues a special limited edition Photo Op Eyeshadow and Blush Palette. The palette features 4 eye shadows and a mid-tone pinky blush.

To create the ombre eye with this palette, start with a matte rich black shade named Ebony and make a slow transition all the way to a soft ballet pink Pastel, by blending it with a matte grape purple (Violet) and soft purple (Lavender) shade. Accentuate the look with Full Exposure Mascara in Black and Limitless Waterproof Eyeliner in Onyx. Finish with Lip Enhancing Gloss in Blush, which is a mid-tone creamy pink shade.

• Photo Op Eyeshadow and Blush Palette in Pastel (a soft ballet pink), Lavender (a soft purple), Violet (a matte grape purple), Ebony (a matte rich black) and Blush in Rosy (a midtone matte pink). (Eyeshadows are 0.06 oz. each and Blush is 0.1 oz.)
