Sothys Micellar Cleansing Water - what it is, how it works

Sothys, a famous French cosmetic brand, born on the grounds of the famous Parisian Sothys beauty institute, is adding a new cleansing product to its range. Sothys Micellar Cleansing Water, which has until now only been available in a 200ml bottle, now comes in even more practical, 400ml version.

Same as any other product of this kind, the Micellar Cleansing Water from Sothys is developed to cleanse the facial skin quickly, gently, and effectively, without the use of water. The Micellar Water incorporates “micelles,” which are actually very fine, small molecules of cleansing oil suspended in water. These molecules act as binding agents, attracting any dirt, debris, makeup, or excess sebum, to dissolve them. So, when you wipe a cotton pad over your skin, the micelles will stick to the cotton, while holding on to the makeup and oils.

Since it doesn’t contain a foamy solution that strips your skin, the micellar oil is ideal for those with sensitive skin. It leaves behind harsh chemicals while dissolving the dirt and makeup, and leaves your skin fresh, glowy, and well hydrated. Sothys Micellar Cleansing Water can be used on both the face and eyes, and it comes with a promise to gently and effectively cleanse your skin in a single step. The product is formulated with blue and white louts extracts that soften and comfort skin. Use it in your daily cleansing routine, instead of regular cleanser or toner. Apply with a cotton pad. Once skin is clean, dry gently. If need to wipe off any heavier, stubborn makeup, you might have to repeat the process a couple of times. You might also need a separate eye makeup remover for waterproof products...

Since Sothys Micellar Cleansing Water contains active water, which has a low mineral content, and pH close to that of the skin, it is suitable for all skin types. The product retails for £23 for a 400 ml bottle.
