Target's premium skin-care assortment

Target, the famous American retailing company, and the second-largest discount retailer in the USA, is slowly moving from its mass-market retail position to more luxurious segment. Starting from February 2014, Target will introduce a premium skin-care range that comprises of seven luxurious brands from various retail channels and countries.

In an interview for WWD, Christina Hennington, vice president of beauty and personal care at Target Corp, said that Target is enhancing its offer by providing a boarder assortment. The skin-care collection now includes dermatological brands such as Vichy and La Roche-Posay, Laneige (which will be exclusive to Target in the USA), Own Skin Health, and a number of brands created in partnership with Target - Borghese Age Defying Cellulare Complex, 29 by Lydia Mondavi, and Brian Zelickson cosmetics. Zelickston, who is also a director of the Zel Skin & Laser Specialists center, has created a MD Complete line for Target, which promises long-term, clinical-type results in the fields of ant aging, sun-protection, cleansing and whitening.
