Tarte Lid Lock Clay Base and Tight & Bright Clay Multi-Mask

Tarte cosmetics is on the roll this spring! The famous creator of beauty goods powered by high-performance naturals has recently introduced a number of new products, including the Clay Play Face Shaping Palette, Clay Stick Foundation, and a limited edition Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick Vault. Today we’re more than happy to introduce two new additions to Tarte’s Clay product family: the Lid Lock Clay Base and Tight & Bright Clay Multi-Mask.

Just like the rest of the range, the newcomers are powered by Tarte’s star ingredient: Amazonian clay. This skin-loving, white clay, typically found in Marajó, an island at the mouth of the Amazon River in Brazil, consists of trace elements of mineral deposits and rocks from the banks of the Amazon River. The finely crushed and micronized minerals are carried along the Amazon and depositing at its mouth where they absorb nutrients from Amazonian forests while drying out under the Sun to become a rich, healing clay.

Thanks to its high nutrient content, Amazonian clay fortifies the skin, locks-in moisture, and hydrates, while also tightening the skin, reducing the appearance of pores, and minimizing discoloration. The clay has also been found to contribute to better, longer, and truer wear of makeup.

Tarte’s Lid Lock Clay Eye Base calls on this unique property of Amazonian clay. The product is, basically, an eye foundation composed of white clay, mineral pigments, and carnauba wax. Thanks to the use of clay, it grips like an eyeshadow primer and long-wears like a neutral matte eyeshadow. The universally flattering shade complements a full range of skintones, so you can easily wear it on its own, or as a color-gripping eyeshadow primer. The clay balances the skin to absorb oil and infuse hydration, providing a crease-free foundation for eye products. The Lid Lock Clay Eye Base retails for $21.00.

Tarte Tight & Bright Clay Multi-Mask is a set of two vegan face masks housed in a dual-chamber jar. The masks may be used on their own, mixed, matched, or used to target different skin concerns from pores, to dryness, dullness, and uneven texture. Both formulas feature Tarte’s beloved Amazonian clay.
